Dr. Tony Hamer
President of Growth, Strategy & Innovation, Dr. Hamer is an accomplished executive with 35 years of experience in creating high value global growth opportunities. He possesses a unique blend of competencies in strategic management, corporate and business development, enterprise funding and finance, business and operational management, leadership development, innovation & technology management, and regional economic development.
Dr. Hamer previously held the position of the Senior Vice President at the Sinclair Group, a Management Consulting firm. Tony has built on his successful career as a management consultant (Monitor, Arthur D. Little and Decision Strategies) and the executive management and technological leadership roles within the Energy, Natural Gas, Petrochemicals, Advanced Materials and Process Industries (Union Carbide, ExxonMobil, Olin Corp and the Gas Research Institute).
Dr. Hamer has been associated with breakthrough innovations in several areas including petrochemical processes, industrial catalysis, high performance polymeric materials and business/product/market strategy and commercialization. During his career Tony has also worked extensively internationally in Europe, Middle East, Brazil and China and has developed a keen understanding for how to be successful in these regions, and has developed a strong international network. Tony has also lent his talents to assisting the communities in which he has lived, for example the launch of the Yavapai Region Manufacturers Association with Yavapai College, and presentations to communities on economic development, global trade and innovation.
Tony received his B.Sc. (Hons) from the Univ. of Reading, UK, his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Purdue University and an executive MBA from the Darden School, Univ. of Virginia.
